• Vegetable-tanned cowhide from South Germany: No chemical tanning agents – the open-pore, breathable surface feels warm and slightly rough to the touch, and responds sensitively to its surroundings. Through UV light and the oils from your hands, the patina gradually closes to form an even, dark honey or tobacco tone.
• Smooth, polished metal zip: Reliably closes the main compartment and operates with one hand – no catching, no resistance.
• Format for A5 documents: Bank statements, receipts, folded A4 documents, note cards or banknotes in different currencies – the main compartment holds everything that lies flat and measures up to A5.
• Naturally finished inside with suede side: The interior is untreated and soft – gentle on papers and cards.

• Shape the patina actively: The natural leather darkens with regular contact from hands and light, first unevenly, then evenly. If you want to speed up the process, you can occasionally place the bag in the sun. If you prefer to keep it light, store it in its pouch.
• Care: Vegetable-tanned leather does not tolerate aggressive cleaning agents. Simply wipe dry when wet and air dry – the leather will smooth out again afterwards.

Sonnenleder uses exclusively cowhide from South Germany, tanned vegetable using traditional recipes – a process based on tree bark, roots and fruits that takes several weeks. Chrome-free, full-grain leather of this type is biodegradable and skin-friendly. The natural version is completely undyed and displays all the leather's natural characteristics: slight irregularities, pores, growth marks. This very surface is what enables the most intensive patina development – comparable to the tarnishing of copper or the darkening of untreated wood.
