Hobonichi Pencil Case Small Drawer Pouch (ONE PIECE magazine: DON!)

The "Small Drawer Pouch (ONE PIECE magazine: DON!)" is a pencil case in a collaboration design between Hobonichi and the ONE PIECE magazine. The all-round zip means the case opens completely flat – all pens and supplies are visible at a glance. The outside features a brilliant, rich red tie-fabric with iconic motifs from the One Piece world: the straw hat, transponder snail and log pose are scattered across the surface. The inner lining is kept in a calm grey, which beautifully contrasts with the colourful exterior.

Features

• All-round zip, opens completely flat: The case lies completely flat when opened – no rummaging, nothing hidden. All pens, rulers or accessories are immediately visible side by side, which significantly speeds up grabbing them during your workflow.
• Bright red tie-fabric exterior: The outer material mimics the structure and sheen of a tie weave and features fine embossing of One Piece motifs. The fabric feels taut and smooth, but has a good grip in the hand.
• One Piece collaboration motifs: The straw hat, transponder snail (Denkimushi) and log pose are scattered as an all-over print across the red fabric – recognisable for fans, yet graphically restrained enough for everyday use.
• Grey polyester inner lining: The matte, light grey interior surface reflects light evenly, so pens and small items remain clearly distinguishable from one another even in poor lighting.
• Compact format with substantial capacity: At 200 × 120 × 25 mm, the case fits into a laptop bag or Hobonichi tote, yet holds enough volume for a handful of fountain pens, fine-tip pens and an eraser side by side.

Use & Tips

• As a writing tool display on your desk: Opened flat, the case can lie directly next to your notebook – reaching for the right pen is effortless. Particularly practical when planning with multiple colours or switching between fountain pen and fine-tip pen.
• For fountain pens up to approx. 14–15 cm: Standard travel-size fountain pens (e.g. TWSBI Eco or comparable models) fit side by side; slender pens can also be arranged in tiers.
• On the go as a flat-lay organiser: Opened out on a table in a hotel or café, the case forms a kind of mini workspace – the coloured exterior shows from the back, while the grey interior provides a calm backdrop for the arrangement.
• Compatible with Hobonichi Techo accessories: The format is designed for Hobonichi bags and cover cases; the case can be placed in standard Hobonichi bags without looking bulky.
• Care: Wipe the polyester outer fabric with a slightly damp cloth; do not soak, as the tie-fabric may lose its sheen if exposed to excessive moisture.

For Hobonichi and One Piece Enthusiasts

The collaboration design was created in partnership with the ONE PIECE magazine, the official magazine for Eiichiro Oda's manga series. The outer fabric is not simple printed cloth, but takes on the texture of a tie weave – a material that stands for careful fabric selection in Japanese accessory culture. The pattern features items that play a narrative role in the One Piece story: the log pose is used for navigation on the Grand Line, the transponder snail (Denkimushi) is the communication medium of the world. For collectors of the Hobonichi collaboration line, this case is a typical example of how Hobonichi transfers licensed designs onto functional everyday-carry products – without subordinating the practical format to the design.
