Traveler's Notebook Regular "032" Accordion

The Refill 032 Accordion is a single, long sheet of thick watercolour paper – folded into 13 connected pages in accordion format, perfectly sized for the Traveler's Notebook Regular. When unfolded, it creates a continuous, panoramic strip; folded up, it fits compactly into the familiar format. The heavyweight paper handles watercolour, ink and mixed media techniques.

Features

• Accordion fold with 13 pages: Seven pages on one side, six on the other – when unfolded, you get a continuous surface perfect for panoramas, timelines or large-scale sketches.
• Thick, watercolour-friendly paper: The paper is similar weight to traditional watercolour paper. Light watercolour washes, ink and mixed techniques (stamping, tape, collage) are reliably absorbed without bleeding through immediately.
• Blank surface: No lines, no dots – the white space offers maximum freedom for drawings, handwritten travel routes, photo montages or ticket collections.
• Regular format: Dimensions when folded approximately 210 × 110 mm, fitting perfectly with all Regular-size Traveler's Notebook covers.

Use & Tips

• Travel panorama: Unfold the refill completely and draw a multi-part travel map or route illustration across all 13 pages – each page can represent a location, a day or a leg of your journey.
• Annual overview / master plan: Use as an expandable year planner or project overview: see the full length at a glance, then fold it back up and stow it in your cover.
• Collage & mixed media: Glue on tickets, stamps, labels and photos; the heavyweight paper holds even strong adhesives and washi tape permanently.
• Watercolour & ink: Work with water-based ink (fountain pen or brush pen) or light watercolour washes – the paper ripples less than thin copy paper.
• Combining multiple refills: If you carry two or more refills in your cover, slide the first refill under the main elastic band and connect the second with a Connecting Band at the centre fold.
• Writing instruments: Gel rollers, fineliners and brush pens glide smoothly across the lightly textured surface. Fountain pens with broad or stub nibs produce clean lines; very wet inks need slightly longer drying time than on smooth writing paper.

The Accordion Refill was originally part of the limited "B-Sides & Rarities" edition and is now available as a regular product. The paper is not classic MD Paper, but a more robust mixed-media paper that absorbs significantly more moisture – comparable to light watercolour paper. If you apply transparent watercolour washes, work thin and in layers, as the paper tends to ripple with too much water. The side-bound pages mean all sheets are connected along the long edge and the strip unfolds up and down – ideal for landscape-format panoramas or vertical timelines.
