Refill 014 Craft Paper is an insert booklet for the Traveler's Notebook Regular – filled with 64 blank pages made from original Japanese kraft paper. The warm brown, slightly rough surface gives every stroke a different character than smooth papers: rougher, more direct, earthier. Thread-stitched, the booklet lies flat in your hand and fits perfectly into any Regular cover.

Kraft paper has its own ink absorption: The fibers are uncoated and absorb ink slightly deeper than calendered papers. This means that water-based inks require minimal more drying time than on smooth paper – if you write with full ink flow and broad nib, let the page breathe for a moment. Pigmented inks and fast-drying oil-based leads work without limitation. The warm brown tone of the paper changes the color effect of inks: blue tones appear warmer, black almost bronze-colored, and green tones gain depth. If you work with stamps, note that pigmented stamp inks perform better than water-soluble inks.
