• Fountain pens and ink: MD Paper is explicitly fountain pen compatible. Inks with strong color saturation and shading look great on the cream-white background. Since the paper is not highly absorbent, some drying time should be planned – especially with wet inks and broad nibs. Left-handers benefit from quick-drying ink formulations.
• Slim nib or fineliner for calendar pages: Space per field in the monthly grid is limited – a fine to medium-width nib or a 0.3–0.5 mm fineliner uses the space most efficiently.
• Blank pages for sketches and layouts: The 32 blank pages are suitable for weekly layouts in bullet journal style, thumbnails, or free drawings without line constraints.

For Paper Enthusiasts

MD Paper is not a coated paper in the classical sense, but rather a specially calendered wood-free paper with a cream-yellow tone. The low feathering resistance (no feathering) comes from the dense surface structure – not from an applied coating. This explains why the surface retains a slightly tactile character despite its smoothness, which is distinctly different from coated art paper. Sheening inks need a bit more drying time on MD Paper than on heavily coated papers, but develop a particularly warm color impression due to the cream-colored background. FSC-certified.
