The Craft Design Technology Frixion Highlighter in Sky Blue combines Pilot's proven erasable ink technology with the Japanese-influenced design sense of Craft Design Technology. The result is a highlighter in a muted blue tone – far removed from the harsh fluorescence of classic neon markers – that marks text without overwhelming the page visually. CDT's characteristic pale green housing makes it instantly recognizable on the desk.

Highlights

• Thermosensitive erasable ink: Pilot's Frixion ink becomes invisible through friction heat – the rubber eraser at the cap end generates exactly this heat. Incorrectly marked areas disappear without residue, without scratching the paper, without eraser crumbs.
• Muted Sky Blue tone: The ink color is soft and pastel-like, so highlighted text remains easy to read. Ideal for pages that should still be pleasant to read after marking – for example in notebooks, study materials, or planners.
• Chisel tip: Wide surface for marking entire lines, narrow edge for precise underlining of individual words or numbers – both applications with a single tip.
• CDT Pale Green housing: The barrel is in CDT's signature color, a restrained green shade referencing Japanese design aesthetics – more understated in appearance than classic office markers.
• Not document-permanent: The thermosensitive ink is not suitable for legally binding or official documents. Markings can become invisible when exposed to heat (e.g., in a hot car, during copying).

Application & Tips

• Planners & bullet journals: The matte Sky Blue tone blends harmoniously into color-coded layouts without competing with other inks or pen colors. Particularly effective alongside darker ink tones like dark blue or black.
• Learning & note-taking: Mark important passages, erase and restructure as needed – without visible traces on the paper. Works on calendered smooth paper as well as regular copy paper.
• Caution with heat: Frixion ink reacts to temperatures from approximately 60°C and becomes invisible. If this happens: Place the marker (and the marked paper) briefly in the freezer – the color returns at around –10°C.
• Allow drying time: Let the ink dry slightly before erasing so the eraser works cleanly and no smudging occurs.
• Combination with other CDT products: The highlighter pairs well with the CDT Frixion Ball 3 – highlighting and notes in coordinated appearance.
