Craft Design Technology Frixion Highlighter yellow

Craft Design Technology transforms Pilot's Frixion highlighter into a writing instrument with its own distinctive character. The soft yellow departs from the harsh neon standard and makes marks with calm, readable presence. The barrel features CDT's signature color Pale Green – a tone rooted in Japanese design tradition. The thermosensitive ink can be completely and residue-free removed with the integrated eraser at the cap end.

Application & Tips

• Planners and bullet journals: The muted yellow overlays fine gridlines and thin paper less heavily than neon colors – markings remain legible, the layout stays clean.
• Correcting errors: To erase, rub the rubber head at the cap end firmly over the marking until the color disappears. The ink leaves no residue and does not damage the paper. Allow to dry briefly before erasing so the ink doesn't smudge.
• Avoid heat: Frixion ink becomes colorless at temperatures above approximately 60 °C – so don't leave it in the sun or store it in a hot car. If the ink has faded due to heat, it will reappear when cooled (approximately −10 °C, e.g., briefly in the freezer).
• Combination with other Frixion products: The highlighter can be combined with Frixion pens and markers – the entire CDT Frixion assortment shares the same ink type and erasure method.
• Underlining with the edge: The narrow wedge side allows precise underlining of individual words or lines – directly next to the text without covering it.

For planner and stationery enthusiasts

The CDT edition deliberately chooses yellow, blue and gray as its color trio – tones that can be combined together without competing visually. The soft yellow is close in brightness to blank pages and is therefore particularly suitable for paper that is already densely filled with text or drawings. When working with multiple colors simultaneously, this tone can mark a first priority level, on which darker colors (blue, gray) can be built.
