NKcalendar Wall Planner 2027 Obi-Wan LP

The NKcalendar Wall Calendar 2027 is a collaboration between Shinnippon Calendar and illustrator Obi-Wan – renowned for his distinctive retro-pop style featuring warm colours and everyday scenes. Twelve monthly sheets, twelve original illustrations: each page turn brings a new image to your wall. The LP format (Long Page) is portrait-oriented and narrow – ideal for door frames, bookshelves or slim wall spaces where a standard calendar would be too wide.

Features

• Monthly illustration by Obi-Wan: Each page showcases a new, standalone retro illustration – everyday scenes in a warm, graphically clear style that bridges vintage poster design and Japanese puzzle pictures.
• LP format (Long Page): The slim portrait layout hangs in spaces unsuitable for wide landscape formats – door frames, bookshelf sides, narrow wall niches.
• Monthly overview: Clear, easy-to-read calendar structure with monthly sheets – straightforward at a glance, without cluttering the illustration.
• Made in Japan: Produced by Shinnippon Calendar Co., Ltd. – one of Japan's oldest and most renowned calendar manufacturers, based in Osaka and founded in 1922.
• Smooth paper: The page surface is smooth enough to add notes with ballpoint pen or fine-liner directly onto the calendar sheet.

Use & Tips

• Narrow walls & niches: The LP format hangs where other calendars don't fit – beside your desk, on door frames, between shelves.
• Pairing with pens: Write dates and notes directly on the calendar sheet – fine-liners, ballpoints and gel pens glide smoothly across the smooth surface without fraying.
• Gift with character: A year-end gift for calligraphy, paper or Japanese stationery enthusiasts – each illustration is a standalone mini-poster.
• Collectible: The Obi-Wan × Shinnippon collaboration releases annually with changing designs – individual illustrations can be removed from the binding system after the year and framed.

For Calendar Enthusiasts

Shinnippon Calendar Co., Ltd. has been based in Osaka since 1922 and ranks among Japan's most established calendar manufacturers. The collaboration with Obi-Wan follows the Japanese tradition of artist calendars, where the calendar itself is understood as a curated illustration project – not merely a planning tool. The LP format represents its own established format class in the Japanese calendar market: narrow, tall, wall-mounted – designed for the spatial constraints of Japanese homes, where wall space is precious and every element is positioned with intent.
