"Carry" – the German word is already embedded in the name and precisely captures the concept of this case: it's designed to take your Hobonichi Weeks with you fully equipped, not alone. The exterior is soft, subtly lustrous black nylon with leather details on the zip pull and magnetic closure cover. The case folds in three and stays closed with magnets – despite this construction, it sits light and flat in your hand.

• Spacious zip pocket with gusset: The exterior pocket isn't flat-sewn; it features a base that gives it volume. Several pens – fountain pens, gel rollers, ballpoints – can be stored upright side by side without the case bulging at the edges.
• Leather zip pull: The pull tabs on the zip and magnetic closure are crafted from cowhide, giving the black nylon a warm contrast and making one-handed operation easier to grip.
• Magnetic closure with leather pad: The magnet holding the tri-folded case closed is covered with a leather backing. This protects cards and paper inside from direct contact with the magnet – an important consideration for anyone wishing to keep credit or debit cards in the case.

The Tragen design evolved through several development stages – fold tests with elastic bands, various pocket shapes – before the current tri-fold construction was finalised. Since September 2024, the specification has been revised: the internal leather pouch seaming was modified, the card slot depth adjusted, an additional seam added to the left side, and the pen loop position optimised. This product corresponds to this revised version. Each case is individually hand-stitched, so minimal dimensional variations between individual units are possible.
