Hobonichi x Sanby: Rotating Stamp for the Techo - Moomin

The Hobonichi x Sanby Rotating Stamp is a rolling stamp specially developed for use with the Techo planner – featuring designs from the Moomin universe. The stamp face is divided into three vertical bands and delivers sharp, clean impressions with light pressure on the smooth, ink-resistant Techo paper. The stainless steel and recycled ABS plastic housing feels cool and sits firmly in the hand, whilst the stamp rubbers are made from natural rubber.

• Three-column stamp face: The right column displays characters and motifs such as Moomintroll and Moominpappa, the centre column contains useful text elements specifically for daily Techo use, the left column offers weather icons, checkboxes and further everyday symbols – all combined in a single stamp.
• Rotation mechanism: By rotating the stamp head, you can precisely select which of the three columns will be impressed – accurate and repeatable, without repositioning.
• Light impression: The natural rubber stamp face transfers motifs with minimal pressure and without bleed-through on the reverse side of the delicate Techo pages.
• Compact format: With dimensions of 90 × 61 × 28 mm and weighing just 53 g, the stamp fits neatly alongside your Techo in a bag or pencil case.
• Material choice: Housing made from stainless steel and recycled ABS, stamp rubber from natural rubber – robust enough for daily use, without unnecessary weight.

Use & Tips

• For use on Techo paper, water-based stamp pads with fast drying times are recommended to prevent smudging on the smooth paper. Oil or solvent-based pads can damage the natural rubber stamp face over time.
• The weather icons on the left column are particularly suited to daily entries in the monthly calendar – a single impression is sufficient for one day's section.
• The text lines in the centre column can be used as repeatable labelling for weekly planners: time markers, to-do fields or priority marks in consistent font size.
• The character column on the right works as a decorative element in weekend entries or on the blank pages at the start of the Techo year.
• Before first use, it's advisable to test-stamp on a sample sheet to calibrate the alignment of your desired column with the stamp face.

The Rotating Stamp was created through a collaboration between Hobonichi and Sanby – a Japanese manufacturer specialising in office stamps and stationery, renowned for precise stamping mechanisms. The three-column grid follows the narrow line spacing of the Hobonichi Techo and is dimensioned so that individual elements fit into the daily columns of the weekly planner. The Moomin illustrations are licensed from Moomin Characters and were specially drawn for this format – not transferred from the general licence pool.
