Hobonichi x Plus: Deco Rush - Hattifattener Wanderer

The Deco Rush "Hattifattener Wanderer" is a decorative tape dispenser from the Hobonichi x Plus Moomin collection. Across the tape runs a series of Hattifatteners – those quiet, wandering creatures from Tove Jansson's Moomin universe – evenly and endlessly lined up. The compact dispenser functions like a correction roller: position the tip, pull, and you're done.

Special Features

• Horizontal row pattern: The Hattifatteners appear one after another in a line – the motif is naturally designed for horizontal strokes and divider lines. Ideal for clear section boundaries on the daily page.
• No ink profile, no show-through risk: The PET film tape lies flat on the paper – no ink irregularities, no bleeding through to the back, even on thin paper.
• No book thickness: The adhesive film is 0.01 mm thin and adds no volume to the notebook – your Techo remains just as flat after a hundred applications as it was before.
• Pencil case format: The dispenser measures H 59 × W 25 × D 13 mm and fits in any pencil case that also carries the Techo.
• Single-use item with no refill: The roll is not refillable – the dispenser is designed for the entire tape length and contains 4 m of tape.
• Moomin licensed design 2026: Illustrations from Tove Jansson's (1914–2001) Moomin world, created through collaboration between Hobonichi and Plus.

• Divider lines on daily pages: Draw a line across the Hobonichi page to visually separate notes from tasks – with Hattifatteners instead of a gray line.
• Page margins and borders: Draw along the top or bottom page margin to create uniform header or footer decoration.
• Use smooth surfaces: The tape adheres most reliably on smooth, even surfaces. Using a pencil board under the page noticeably improves the result.
• Hold dispenser nearly upright: The roller transfers the pattern most cleanly when the dispenser is slightly angled and the roller sits firmly on the paper.
• Clean cutting: At the end of the line, press the dispenser down briefly, then lift vertically – this creates a clearly defined edge without fraying.
• Combine with other Moomin accessories: The tape harmonizes in color and design with other Hobonichi Moomin products from the 2027 collection.

For Hobonichi Enthusiasts

The Plus Deco Rush system works with a dry transfer tape – the same principle as correction rollers, but without opaque white coverage. The PET tape transfers the motif as a paper-thin, transparent film directly onto the paper. You can write over it with pencil or ballpoint pen; fountain pens with water-based ink can easily bead on the smooth PET surface of the tape – a quick-drying pen is the better choice here. To match this Deco Rush, there is a separately available special eraser (random design from five variants) with which applied tape can be removed without residue.
