Hobonichi Cover mina perhonen: felice – Blue (Weeks)
The Hobonichi Weeks Cover in the "felice – Blue" edition combines a textile from the minä perhonen Autumn/Winter 2024–25 collection with the compact design language of the Weeks cover. The pattern features birds and butterflies gently approaching flowers – a fabric that, literally translated, means: joy arises through togetherness. The exterior is made from textile fabric, while the inner lining is finished in a clear, serene blue.
Features
- "Felice" textile by minä perhonen: A fabric from the Autumn/Winter 2024–25 season featuring hand-drawn motifs – birds and butterflies approaching flowers. minä perhonen develops all textiles as unique designs: hand-drawn, then woven, embroidered or dyed. The result is a fabric whose structure and pattern are distinctly tactile and visible.
- Full zip-around closure: The cover closes completely with a zip – your book, pen and loose notes remain securely fastened, even in your bag.
- Pen holder with clip: The integrated pen loop holds any pen with a clip – ballpoints, fibre-tip pens or slim fountain pens fit securely.
- Blue inner lining: The calm blue inner lining creates a fresh contrast to the finely patterned outer textile and is immediately visible when you open it daily.
- Fit for Hobonichi Weeks: The cover is crafted exclusively for the Hobonichi Techo Weeks format – the book sits snugly without play, turns pages smoothly and lies stable in your hand.
Use & Tips
- Weeks format for everyday use: The Weeks format with weekly overview and memo page is ideal for those who like compact planning: appointments, to-dos and brief notes on a double spread. The cover reliably protects the thin Tomoe River paper of the Weeks book.
- Pens with clips: The pen loop is designed for clip-based pens – a slim ballpoint or compact fibre-tip pen with a clip sits firmly without stretching the cover.
- Textile care: minä perhonen textile covers are sensitive to moisture and friction. Light soiling can be gently dabbed away with a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth. Do not soak or machine wash.
- Book and cover combination: The Weeks book is not included – cover and book are purchased separately. This allows you to reuse the cover with a new annual edition.
For Textile Enthusiasts
minä perhonen was founded in 1995 by Akira Minagawa – a designer who hand-draws all patterns before transferring them into textile techniques such as embroidery, Jacquard weaving or screen printing. The name is Finnish: "minä" means "I", "perhonen" means "butterfly". The "felice" textile is from the Autumn/Winter 2024–25 season and features a motif that clearly communicates the brand's philosophy: joy arises through encounter – between bird and flower, between person and object. This cover is produced and sold by Hobonichi under the creative direction of minä perhonen – enquiries go directly to the Hobonichi Store.
